Black Sabbath's estranged drummer Bill Ward says he remains ready to return to the group.
The rocker tells GuitarInternational.com he didn't "walk out" or leave the band, and he still considers himself Sabbath's drummer. But he says he's remaining firm in his resolve, and nothing will change until he gets a deal that's "workable."
A contract dispute has kept Ward from playing on Sabbath's new album, 13, and taking part in the group's current tour.
Frontman Ozzy Osbourne has expressed his hopes Bill will be involved in Sabbath's next studio project, and Ward says he has "a complete open mind to the idea." But he adds that "all the nicety and placations in the world will mean nothing" if he's not offered "the right contract."
