(Cleveland)- A Bainbridge Township man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.
60-year-old Allen Warner plead guilty in May to 18 counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, five counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance, two counts of Voyeurism, and one count of Possessing Criminal Tools.
Between February 1, 2002, and October 17, 2012, Warner created, downloaded, transported and/or shared files containing child pornography.
Warner’s case was ultimately uncovered when an investigator with the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, working in an undercover capacity, responded to an anonymous internet ad.
In the ad, Warner indicated that he was looking for adults to share secretly recorded videos of their “loved ones” in a state of nudity or sexual acts. He also indicated that he had secretly been recording family members and wanted to share and/or trade the images.
On October 17, 2012, Warner arrived at a prearranged location thinking he was meeting a father who was willing to record his own daughters nude. Warner showed the investigator the surveillance equipment that he had brought which included alarm clocks and DVD players containing hidden cameras. Warner was subsequently detained while members of the Ohio ICAC Task Force executed a search warrant of his vehicle.
After executing the search warrant on the vehicle, members of the Ohio ICAC Task Force executed additional search warrants at Warner’s residence and a storage facility located in Warrensville Heights.
The ICAC Task Force conducted forensic examinations on the electronic storage devices seized and discovered that Warner was taping his victims without their knowledge in various states of nudity and/or sexual activity. Victims included a minor child known to Warner, as well as current and former mistresses.
Investigators successfully located and removed the hidden cameras from the victim’s residence’s, some of which were still actively recording in the known victims’ houses.
Warner was arrested by members of the Ohio ICAC Task Force with assistance from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office and the Parma Police Department on October 17, 2012.
