Another record temp toppled

(Cleveland) - The Cleveland area saw a second straight record high temperature set Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says the mercury hit 94 degrees, topping the old mark of 92 set all the way back in 1952.

The rare September heat wave also saw a record high set on Tuesday as Cleveland hit 96 degrees, besting the mark of 93 degrees set in 1964.

A cold front is expected to sweep through the area Thursday bringing with it, cooler temperatures.

Thursday's high is expected to be about 75.  The normal high for this time of year is about 77 degrees.
