(Detroit) -- Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is being accused of making improper campaign contributions to an election in Michigan.
WXYZ-TV in Detroit is reporting that state regulators in Michigan are being asked to revoke Gilbert's gaming license in the Wolverine State.
The request comes from union activist Robert Davis, who claims that Gilbert's company, Quicken Loans, made illegal contributions to the Detroit mayoral campaign of Mike Duggan. In Michigan, casino owners are barred from making political contributions, and Gilbert is the owner of the Greektown Casino in Detroit.
Here in Ohio, Gilbert owns the Horseshoe Casinos in Cleveland and Cincinnati.
