Indians trucks head for Arizona

(Cleveland) - The final loading of spring training trucks took place at the Progressive Field loading docks Friday morning, as Indians gear departed for Goodyear, Arizona.

Andrews Moving & Storage is serving as the official movers of the Cleveland Indians, once again and is handling the transportation of gear from Cleveland to Goodyear.

Truck driver Ed Fisher says he looks forward to the four day journey every year. He tells Newsradio WTAM the Cleveland Indians always treat him like family.

Fisher adds that the only thing he worries about is the weather, but so far conditions are looking good.

Indians assistant equipment manager Mary Bokovitz says they pretty much have packing down to an art, but sometimes an item or two will be left behind and they have to send it by FedEx.

The two loaded tractor-trailer rigs are due to arrive on Tuesday. Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Goodyear, AZ, on February 11, with their first workout set for February 13.

The full squad reports on February 15, with the first full-squad workout set for February 17.
